Abstract:

Work for the California Republican party, including involvement with Republican women's clubs and participation in conventions and campaigns; role as director of women's activities, Federal Civil Defense Administration, 1954-58, and with Western Training Center, Office of Civil Defense, 1960-65. With this: additional documentary material including history of the San Francisco Presidio and Presidio bicentennial plan, photographs of 1955 Nevada nuclear tests, civil defense newsletters, etc.
